If possible, I would like to use the Ethernet port on the CPU-417-5H module to communicate EtherNet/IP to a 3rd party resolver. The resolver requires 10 16-bit input words and 10 16-bit output words. My question: Is it possible? The answer to Aniketdas question from gre_m was yes, you can use cp1613, 1613A2 or cp1623 and switch scalance. We have a Scalance X204-2 but I do not know what the reference to the cp 1613 etc means. Is there a reference example that could get me started? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

hi, the usage of the CP16xx is for connecting a PC to industrial Ethernet. I don´t think that you need it. I think it is possible. But you can search for your self in this manual to see what kind of communication matches your requirements. In chapter 14 all posibilities of communication are mentioned. SIMATIC Fault-tolerant systems S7-400HIf you need further help in detail come back and ask. I´m sure someone can help you. regards, |
