Hello zecas Bad news first: You can NOT increase the work memory in your S5 CPU. Possibly good news: Apart from rewriting parts of the programto make it more efficient and/or removing blocks that are possibly leftover ones and no longer called (but still occupy memory space), youmay be able to utilise the so called DB RAM that is available in a 928B CPU (unless it is already used and also full). Put simple, the DB RAM is a 46 KB RAM area over and on top of the 64 KB RAM that you plug into the CPU. There's different ways to get the DB's into the DB RAM (you'll also find some Forum discussions concerning this) and I suggest you start by looking at chapter 6.33 of the S5-135U CPU 928B Programming Guide as well as the two FAQ's below: Loading DBs into the CPU 928B Moving data blocks with OB254/255 (CPU928B) I hope this helps |
