Diosnel Experienced Member Joined: 6/22/2013 Last visit: 4/5/2022 Posts: 141 Rating: (2)	I have a CPU 944, as I see in the technical specification, the maximum physical output is up BYTE 127, but I have an output card eight timers that marks me having byte 128 that may be, the card physical output that have not is a common output card has siwcth to encode this can happen, the program I see a peripheral output this parameter PY 128 fine. Help!!!! Regards.

PY = peripheral byte That is right !! The Limit of 127 Bytes ( 0-127 ) is for DI / DI with Process Image RAM in the CPU and are updated automatically at the beginning and end of cycle. Further you can go upto 511 with so called Peripheral addresses ( Can be addressed as PY ( Peripheral Byte or PW ( Peripheral Word ) etc. These have to be read and written to by using specific instructions ( L PY / L PW / T PY / T PW etc. ) You can mind more details in the Manual : S5-115U Programmable Controller Hope this helps Cheers Navnag
