CPU and IM module

List Posts: 664 Rating: (17)	Hai All, I have no great experience in PLC. Using only IM modules in CNC application. Can anyone tell me the defference between S7-300 CPU and IM module ? I know we can use IM module as standalone CPU . But i am intrested to know about the defferences .. Please explain.. Thanks&Regards, Raj

Thanks&Regards, Raj Hello, Not all IMs can work as standalone because not all of them include a CPU. Please tell us exactly part numbers you have to make it easier to us to tell you differences between your CPU and IM.
