fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 3/20/2025 Posts: 3042 Rating: (1061)	Dear all out of the myriads of availableSiemens communication related FAQ's, example applications and documents, the "hot of thepress" just released 2ndversion of CPU-CPU Communication with SIMATIC Controllers - Compendium is a must have download for everyone dealing with the subject. While its taken 6 years for this 2nd version to come out, I take my hat off to Siemens for what they have done and theeffort that has gone into this. This one is worth being printed and leather-bound in my humble opinion and I hope posting this "Tip" helps in spreading the news and users finding this excellent reference document.

I recently had a project in which I used the PUT and GET instruction, I am just curious if that is just similar to what a Put and Get instruction does? Thanks,

I am sure someone might have already tried and figured out. Sometimes manual just do not explain everything, it has to be figured out, while testing.

Hello Lucky, Please find here under some useful links using PUT SFB, GET SFBn BSEND FB and BRCV FBand it is includes application examples. Sample program: S7 communication with the blocks SFB14 ("GET") and SFB15 ("PUT") with S7-400 How do you program communication blocks FB14 "GET" and FB15 "PUT" for data exchange in the S7 program of an S7-300 CPU? How do you program communication blocks FB12 "BSEND" and FB13 "BRCV" for data exchange in the S7 program of an S7-300 CPU? Application for the "PUT" and "GET" Function Blocks of the S7 Communication Hope this helps.
