CPU S7 314 Connection with PC

TamerAli Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear all, we have a new CPU S7-314 ( 6ES7 314-1AG14-0AB0 ) , couldn't make connection with it using PC adapter MPI , the connection parameters as mpi address 2 , rate 187.5 Kbps .... tried PC adapter Auto , but the same case ( couldn't view the CPU with the simatic manager V 5.5 ,and TIA v11 SP2 ) * Tried MRES the Stop LED didnt make flashing , cpu state DC5V ok Stop * MMC inserted

miami Platinum Member Joined: 8/31/2005 Last visit: 3/13/2025 Posts: 2198 Rating: (331)	Make a factory reset at the CPU: https://www.automation.siemens.com/mdm/default.aspx?DocVersionId=29564002699&TopicId=24570788363 Make shure to use the left MPI/DP connector of the CPU! (if there is more than one) Do you use the PC Adapter USB (6ES7972-0CB20-0XX0) or a third party product? The PC Adapter USB gets it's power from the PLC, not from the USB. You must use the short MPI cable (a cable with 4 wire) Is the PC Adapter USB recognized by the PG/PC, when you connect it and switch on the PLC? Did you select "PC Adapter" in PG/PC interface configuration? Did you select "USB" as local port?

Hope this helps.
