CPU stop due to Event ID 4548/494D

The CPU will go into stop with the following event log: [code]Event 16 of 109: Event ID 16# 4548 STOP caused by I/O management Previous operating mode: RUN Requested operating mode: STOP (internal) Internal error, Incoming event[/code] I wasn't able to get the CPU back into RUN mode, so I decided to remove and swap some IO cards to find the defective card. I wasn't able to find it and ended up replacing some output cards to get the CPU running. Yesterday there was the same problem again. But now they could start the CPU by switching off and on the cabinet. The event in the log stated following:[code]STOP due to IO error No relevance for user (Z2): 0050 (Z3): 4555 Previous operating mode: STOP (internal) Requested operating mode: STOP (internal) External error, Incoming event[/code] [b]The question(s) :[/b] - What could course this problem? - What could we check/change? - Anyone some experiance with these event ID's Now for some history on this installation: about a year ago they had I think the same problem. We ended up changing the CPU and all cards. To my understanding only the cards were changed, but not the backplane modules. The systems worked as of then without any problems. Last month the CPU, a 314, is replaced for a 315-2DP for the Profibus interface, also the system still worked without problems. The HW-config is as following:[code] Rack 1: CPU-315-2DP (315-2AH14) IM 365 (365-0AB00) AO 4x12bit (332-5HD01) DI16 (321-1BH01) DI16 (321-1BH01) DI16 (321-1BH01) DI16 (321-1BH01) Rack 2: IM 365 (365-0AB00) DO16 (322-1BH01) DO16 (322-1BH01) DO16 (322-1BH01) DO16 (322-1BH01) AI 2x12bit (332-1BH02)[/code]

Thijs Posts: 121 Rating: (16)	There already OB's loaded in the CPU, there's no logic inside, but still the CPU goes into STOP mode. The OB loaded are OB82, OB86, OB121 and OB122. In the log's I can't find anything about OB's being call due to some event.

Aliende Posts: 18 Rating: (3)	If there is IO aces error the OB will be activated. Did you tray to download project to one CPU without peripherals in office? I think with this OB Cpu have to run wit SF. Do you have some S7 communication or some other posibilitation to activateOBs? What is on profibus connector it is free? What is cycle time? Download all OBs for 300 and then find out witch OB is started. Best regards

Thijs Posts: 121 Rating: (16)	From experiance, if a failure event OB is beeing called, and it's not present, a seperate event will be logged. Cycle time is about 1-3 ms. On the Profibus connection there's only 1 device. But the problem also occured with a 314 with no profibus connection (on the same rack, the CPU has been exchanged). I know that a CPU will call some OB's when there is a rack failure.I can even pull a card out without the CPU going to stop. But sometime still the CPU goes into stop with event ID 4548 or 494D

Thijs Posts: 121 Rating: (16)	I've spoken to a more exprianced engineer. Basically he gave me a few pointers to check the next time we're visiting this plant: - Check earth connection. - Check and/or replace the backplane connectors. - Configure the complete HW-configuration again from scratch. From the link posted by Marcjan, we will also check the voltage on the cards. Im the link they speak about a IM361. We are using a IM365, this doesn't have a own powersupply connection. But still, something to check.

In my opinion the fault must be in the extension rack, the bus connectors could be a cause. well you got something to check, good luck and keep us informed. Regards, Marcjan
