CPU Stop Mode when using SFC0 ('CTU') within MCR

Maha Posts: 118 Rating: (4)	Dear All, While testing our program in site, the plc was going stop mode. when we see the Diagnostics, we found that SFC0 ('CTU') triggering the stop mode. we were not able to find the prob, after lot of trial and error method, we have removed the MCR (Master control Relay concept, MCR< >), then it started working. It mean that, whenever we are using IEC Counter (SFC0) within Master control Relay concept, it triggers stop mode of PLC. We are using this MCR< > in lot of places,without IEC Timer/Counter, its working fine too. Any one faced this type of problem? what could be the reason for this? any remedy on this? pls help.

Hello Maha the reason is actually quite simple, you are using the MCRwhile calling a block (SFB 0) which requires Parameters to be passed over. Attached is the pdf from the Step 7 help (go for "Help on LAD" and search for MCR)which contains the"Important notes on using MCR functions" and also list the remedy for it (i.e. deactivate MCR, call the SFB0, activate the MCR again).
