Hello Tomy; As you are planning to connect 2 CPUs as master and slave over Profibus-DP, you should examine the example configuration shown in the link above, between a S7-300/400 as master and a CPU 315-2DP as slave, with ID:6518822. You will see that there are no FBs involved, only a setup of the exchange data table between the 2 CPUs, using the I/O address area. If you want to exchange the contents of a DB,. then oyu must copy the send-DB data to the output addresses reserved for that purpose in the configuration, and copy the data from the input IO area into your recieve-DB. FBs are required when connecting 2 masters, wuth the use of CP 342-5s.
