CPU went to Run mode but IM is not ready yet - Bus fault is blinking

From the PN port i have connected an IM-153-4BA00-0XB0 through ethernet cable. I have set the IP and name of IM. downloaded the hardware to CPU. Now the CPU went to Run mode but IM is not ready yet.Bus fault is blinking. What may be the problem? Kindly help. I have not placed the memory card. Is it needed? Also check "Edit Ethernet nodes" and make a screen which devices are detected. For that connect the PC directly to the IM or the PLC so that you see both devices. Regards Christoph
