CPU1214C web server access

MINKU Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	I am not able to access webserver of CPU1214C. I have configured the proporties of CPU1214C with "enable web server" using TIA portal and downloaded the same to CPU. Then tried to open standard web page using internet explorer web browser, but page can't be displayed message is found. Please help me to access the web page.

But at start, I should you suggest: 1- Check if from your PC you could go online to PLC (with V11): it will check cables, address, etc. 2 - Check the security properties of tyour browser (se the IP address of the PLC in the safety category, with "low" security level).

Questions: Are you running TIA Portal V11 SP2 with PLC Firmware 2.2? If yes, it might work. If not, you may have better luck by updating. Are you using the same computer to program the PLC and access the web server? If not, you have better luck by using the same computer. Are you able to ping the PLC from the computer you are using to access the web server? If not, well, that's a networking question, not a PLC question. For two computers to easily communicate, they need to be on a subnet accessible via either by routingthrough your gateway (router), or by subnet masking. If your plc is is on 192.168.x.x and your PC is on 10.10.x.x, they cannot communicate as easily without some network magic. If you temporarily change your computer's ip address to be on the same subnet as your plc, does the web server start to work and can you ping the plc?

Please, help me!!!! Enrico Bigozzi Recently someone had this same problem. They did not enable the web server - the web server is off by default. If you can get online with the plc, your web browser should be able to access the web server using the same ip address configured in your project for that plc.

In PC running Internet Explorer Version 5 is installed, while the PC programming installed Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox Version 17, I disabled Firewall, Antivirus, but nothing with both browsers. Anyway I'm going forward with some evidence! Thanks again Enrico Bigozzi

Thanks again Enrico Bigozzi Pegaia wrote in this thread: /tf/WW/en/Posts/61763 In the S7-1200 System manual stay: “The following Web browsers support the Web server: Internet Explorer 8.0 or greater Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or greater Opera 11.0 or greater “ Also, the other pc must be able to ping that plc address. If your computer is on your company network and your plc address is something like 192.168.0.10, you may have difficulty communicating unless your subnet mask is something crazy like 0.0.0.0, but then you may not be able to access the internet. If you have a spare usb ethernet adapter, you can test your other computer by adding that network adapter, connecting to the plc, putting the new adapter on the same subnet as your plc, and then it should work, providing your browser is one of the above supported ones.
