cpu313c communication on profibus

veer dr Regular Member Joined: 7/21/2013 Last visit: 9/8/2022 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	dear experts first of all my project deatails are i am using cpu313c-2dp to control 10 abb drive on profibus dp network through RPBA 01 MODULE with pp0 type 4 .there is serious problem whenever with any of reason plc goes in to stop mode during machine running , plc do not stop all motors, these runs continuously at the speed at which thses were before plc going to stop mode, at this condition machine is uncontrolable this is very dangerous situation so plz make me how reslove this problem. thanks

We have here two points Why let the CPU go to stop mode? It is not healthy situation. And In case of being in Stop mode, the machine must stop immediatly. I am not very much experienced with ABB drives. But there are some modules and may be drive that can remain in operation while the controller / CPU is being in stop mode. These type of modules have what is called a "subistitute value" or "re-action at CPU in stop mode". And you have to select in HW configuration thesubistitute value. In your case it may be speed value or last speed before being in stop mode. The above scenario can be easily checked by opening the HW configuration and looking at your settings of the drives. Another scenario may cause your situation, is "drive parametres" May be the command source is changed when CPU being in stop mode. Or may be there is a preset set point is automatically entered to drive in case of loosing the communication. I am not sure, you have to look on drive parameters. Hope the above helps and please feedback us by results.
