CPU314 memory full

NewTech Bronze Member Joined: 2/23/2007 Last visit: 2/19/2023 Posts: 75 Rating: (1)	Hi everybody, I have a project in a CPU-314 and i have the following problem: The load memory using 80%. My problem is in the Work memory (100%), because of this i cannot make online changes or download a individual blocks in my cpu. The system order to compress memory. It says that compress is complete, but it is still 100% assigned. As you understand, i try to download an FC and it says "unable to copy FC". The cpu is 6ES7314-1AE04-0AB0 / V1.2. Anybody have any idea how I can expand this memory. I already try to use a Memory flash,but still I can not change the program online. Attachment Memory RAM.pdf (162 Downloads)

Like wizard already said, it is not possible to increase the work memory of 300 CPU. May be, you can optimize your program: Delete the blocks that are not in use. Try to use Datablock unlinked, if possible. Or change the CPU. 319 has very large working memory....

But in my plant have other problem: I have a CPU 318 and I compare size (rightclick in blocks) of my project and online cpu memory space and have free memory, but when I try to download my program Memory RAM is FULL then I can not complety my download. In this case I use a memory card flash. If I use a RAM card is possible to download my project??? Thanks again.

Arunakat1 Posts: 217 Rating: (52)	Hi, Well it is bit unclear to me weather if you got the same massage for CPU 318. As IBN and Wizard said you can’t expand work memory only option is to compress your program or change the CPU for a large work memory. If you can send us your program. Regards.
