CPU317 2DP CPU Messages

Hello guys

Its actually my first time over here in this forum. its really relaxing to see how helpful this forum members are 

I have some sort of confusion with "CPU Massages" function. In the factory where I work, I tried to practice this function so I connected my laptop to CPU 317 2DP and opened online view and then selected CPU Massages and checked both A and W options. After that I removed one of the I/O cards and CPU show SF but no message appeared in the CPU massages archive. where did i go wrong? did I miss something over here ?

SF fault usually comes because of Programming fault or something wrong in Hardware configuration....
