Create a project with wincc - values from a DB (ORACLE)

gio75 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have a problem, Considering that at times widening projects, I am me to change the DBs in the Plc and therefore to unpack the tagses of the wincc I would want to create a project with wincc without however to go to directly read the values of the tagses on the plc, but from a DB I express. (es DB ORACLE). I would want to know if it is possible, or if it is always necessary, to always declare the run in the PLC. it is possible as can I do? thanks

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Gio, You sent me a PM asking how to display data from an external database (e.g. Oracle) in WinCC. Was that question related to this subject? Anyway.. you can easily change the addressing of tags with Configuration Tool, in case you need to perform changes in the system. I haven't used it, but I've read about the "AS/OS Object Mapper", which supposedly allows you to map the symbols from Step7 in WinCC, thus creating what is sometimes called an "integrated project".
