Somehow I doubt you have the same problem.
Please consider making a proper description of what the trouble is..
It will help forum volunteers to give focussed answers.

In more general terms, refer to the attachment:

1. Controlling the EN is not a good idea.
   
   
2. Better to control the REQ. I doubt how the REQ triggers:
   (a) edge trigger or
   (b) level trigger.
   
   With REQ = FALSE will have the pulse continue on the frequency it was set to. FREQUENCY = 0 and REQ = TRUE will stop the frequency.
   
   EN = FALSE will do the same as REQ = FALSE.
   
   
3. Best to have the program convert to the right data type.

Hello,

the CTRL_PTO accepts frequency changes just with a rising edge on the  REQ input and keep the output frequency constant on other cases.

• REQ=1: Sets the frequency of the pulse generator to the value of FREQUENCY

  REQ=1 and FREQUENCY=0: Deactivates the pulse generator

• REQ=0: No change at pulse generator
