CU 305

Erdem Sivri Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hello all. I have a one servo axis project and I am using a S110 CU305 to drive the servo motor. The poblem is S110 have only one analogue input (-10 /10V) and we need two 0 / 10V analogue input. How can we overcome this problem? Can I use a expansion card with CU 305? By the way I can not use switching in drive free function blocks because I need both of the analogue at the same time. Thank you.

If you need more analog inputs you must upgrade to cu310 (here you can use the SINAMICS Terminal Modules to get more inputs). Regards Christoph

Erdem Sivri Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your reply. I think it is a big shame for Siemens to have one analogue input on CU305 or no analogue on CU310 and CU320. Also it doesnt have a 10V supply for potentiometer connection, you need to supply 10V externally. I mean you pay good money for these drives. They should be more capable. Even the cheapest drives have at least two analogue inputs and one analogue output integrated. IF CU305 is compact it should have more analogue inputs and other stuff according to me. What do you think about it? This makes these drives very weak to use them standalone without a PLC.

Description This function can be used to specify preset speed setpoints. The fixed setpoints are defined in parameters and selected via binector inputs. Both the individual fixed setpoints and the effective fixed setpoint are available for further interconnection via a connector output (e.g. to connector input p1070 - CI: main setpoint). Properties -Number of fixed setpoints: Fixed setpoint 1 to 15 -Selection of fixed setpoints: Binector input bits 0 to 3 --Binector input bits 0, 1, 2 and 3 = 0 --> setpoint = 0 active --Unused binector inputs have the same effect as a "0" signal It as a variant. Best regards. I also use fixed points but I need 2 analog inputs at the same time so this wont solve my problem. Most of the other drives also support macros like technology controller or free function block or others you wrote. I am talking about the hardware! On the other hand Simotion Scout or Starter is a bliss comparing to other companies softwares.

This my opinion. Program LOGO will switch analogue inputs to an analogue output. It as a variant: 6AG1 052-2CC00-2BA6 + 6ED1 055-1MM00-0BA1 Best regards.
