I have a project created in Scout with CU230P-2 DP FMW 4.2.  Unfortunately the spare unit I have has FMW 4.4. Obviously it will prevent me from connecting to it and downloading the backup.

I think there is an option to upgrade the drive in Scout?

Right click on the drive -> Target Device -> Upgrade Device Version/Characteristic.

Unfortunatel,y there is not any upgrade avaliable in this option [see the attachment]

Any advice?

If I create and configure a new drive in Scout as FWV4.4 (assigns CU as 6SL3243-0BB30-1PA2) it will let me upgrade that drive to more recent FWV's.

If I create and configure a new drive in Scout as FWV4.2 (assigns CU as 6SL3243-0BB30-1PA0) it will not let me upgrade the FMV on the drive at all.

My question is: Will a CU230P-2 DP with part number 6SL3243-0BB30-1PA0 accept a FWV higher than V4.2? My experiments suggest that it will not.
