Dear sirs. In a plant we have multiple inverters PM240-2 equipped with CU250S-2PN. At the output of the inverter we have: Motor1: asynchronous motor equipped with HTL encoder A,B,Z connected to SUB-D X2100 interface. Motor2: asynchronous motor equipped with HTL encoder A,B,Z connected to Terminal interface (backup motor) The motors are interlocked with contactors at the output of the inverter. Only one motor may work at a time. The motors must be controlled in Speed Control with encoder. DDS0 - (Motor1) Encoder via SUB-D DDS1 - (Motor2) Encoder via Terminal In your opinion is it possible to setup such a configuration? From Starter offline seems feasible, please check attachment. At the moment we have created two Drive Data Sets. DDS0 - Motor1 configured in Speed control with encoder P1300=21 (is working with no problems) DDS1 - Motor2 configured in Speed control without encoder P1300=20 (working but behaviour is not correct) For some reason the personnel on site informs that they can't switch Encoder1 from Sub-D to Terminal interface for DDS1. Another option would be to configure the drive with two encoders. Encoder1 - Via SUB-D Encoder2 - Via Terminal But it seems that for G120 the encoder for closed loop control must always be Encoder1. Can't select Encoder2 for this purpose. We are out of ideas. Maybe adding a SMC30 could help? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Gigi Horhota
