Current Time Value to HMI

Hello friends..

I am doing an app with timers. The costumer will write a value in hours. For example 20 hours. It is easy. But i want to show in HMI screen when prosess running how many hours and minutes remain.

For that i defined a new tag in time type and did SUB. And it worked. But while i carry that value to screen via Text Box didnt work.

How can i carry the current time variables like "10H 43M 12S " to hmi ?  Second is not necessery :)

Hi,

in S7-1200 you can choose extended instructions. Ther is also a folder for Date and time-of-day functions for Datatypes DTL, Date and Time_of_Day.

Here you can calculate a time difference by function T_Diff and convert with T_conv.

Did you design a subroutine (FC / FB) that works with the datatype TIME?

TIME is a value in milliseconds.
TIA however displays the time from the TIME variable as a reworked number: in days:hours:minutes:seconds:milliseconds.
It is a TIA software thing.. not a PLC thing.

If you want to have your display do the same as TIA shows you,
you will have to convert the millisecond TIME into its various components.

Maybe look at T_CONV instruction from TIME to DTL converting.
