I have attached a simple sample project that though untested should perform the calculation described in the original post. One thing to note is how TIA Portal allows you to name the tags according to the sub calculation, making it easy to identify what portion of the overallcalculation that tag represents. zifzaf Experienced Member Joined: 7/8/2010 Last visit: 10/1/2018 Posts: 19 Rating: (1)	thanks for your fast reply and help. the formula worked great , that is what i wanted , but i have noticed something may be confusing is in the network1 the instruction MUL address %MD56 is having the tag "r^2acos(r-df/f)" i thing it supose to be "r^2acos(r-df/r)" to be more significant .however this dont have any effect on the calculation thanks

Plazz Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	This is a very useful formula! A couple of questions though? In the part of the formula (r-d), what does ‘d’ represent? 'df' represents ‘depth of fluid’ so does ‘d’represent diameter or length or something? I could really use some help with this!! Thanks in advance, Plazz

If you have S7-1200 CPU FW > ver 2, you can make use of CALCULATE instruction which is simple and easy to code. Herewith I have attached the TIA Portal v11 project for the your use case with CALCULATE instruction . Though it's not tested, it should work well. Anyone pls check and let know.
