D425 PROFIBUS timeout

stijn Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello I'm trying to create PROFIBUS master-master communication between a S7 315 PLC with integrated PROFIBUS port and a Simotion D425. When I try to send data from the S7 to the D425 it only works when the X_send (SFC65)request bit is high so data is sent to the D425. When I turn down this bit, then the D425 goes to stop mode because of timeout errors. Error code he gives are: Error 1912: IF1: PB/PN clock cycle synchronous operation sign-of-life failure. Is there a way to create some kind of OB86 in Simotion to keep the drive in RUN. I created an empty MCC chart and connected that to every fault task I could find in the execution system, but it still goes into stop mode. Does anybody have a suggestion for that? stijn Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello Christoph I uploaded a log-file and a doc-file with 2 screenshots on the error. We also integrated a PROFINET communication (PLC = IO-controller, D425 = IO-device) and this works fine. But the problem on PROFIBUS persists. In the log-file, specifically event 5 looks to give the error information, but it doesn't really provide a solution. Can you help me with that? Please control if there ist no "waiting" condition (WHEN_COMMAND_DONE or so) and not While and repeat commands used. Regards Christoph

stijn Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello Christoph I do have a XReceive system function in my LAD/FBD program, and it expects the input nextcommand. There you can only choose 'When_Command_Done' or 'Immediately'. But neither one of both options works. Well it does work but makes the D425 go to STOP when the PLC is not sending. The program runs in the background task. Is there no way to keep the D425 in RUN, like with a PLC? Kind regards Stijn

You can put the program of the BackgroundTask to a motiontask then the system can handle the program because motiontasks are no cyclic task. Can you post the code for program which is running in the Backgroundtask for analyze? Regards Christoph

In the last network I used both options 'When_Command_Done' and 'Immediately' for the parameter 'nextcommand'. If you want I can upload the archived project in Simotion scout. Do you consider any changes? Can I run this program in a motion task? What do I have to use as a startcommand for that motiontask?
