D445 Task overflow SHUTDOWN

pibanez Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear experts, we have two systems SIMOTION D445 with several SINAMICS motion axes each. They both interact withthird part SCADA via OPC in ETHERNET. Sometimes we send from the SCADAa profilecam for one axiswich implies sending a fairly big amount of data. When doing this, sometimes (not all the times) the system goes to SHUTDOWN because of: "Tolerated time overflow in the task", "STOP by execution system, cause: Timeout". (see diagnosis picture) Our integrator has installed the latest SP5 HF15 to solve the problem, but it is still there. Any idea? Attachment Timeout STOP.JPG (377 Downloads)

In the extended Info tab of the message ou will see which task is overflow. If you receive a hugh amount of data then yous should use a motiontask for this, no cyclictask (Backgroundtask, ipo/ipo2/servo-synchronous, timertask). Regards Christoph

pibanez Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thank you very much for your help. The task that goes to overflow is the IPOsyncrhonous task. The overflow allways happens when big data is sent to the CPU. The communication procedure to receive this datais in the Backgroud task. Should we try to movethis procedure to the Motion Task? Regards.

HandyAndy Posts: 46 Rating: (0)	OK, that sounds good for a system on site. But I have this symptom with a customer in Brazil while I'm in the USA. I can get diagnostic files from the machine over the internet. But I cannot connect Scout to the controller from here. And I don't see any indication in the diagnostics files about which task is causing the TimeOut. In my case there's no apparent connection between the error and any particular event. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to identify the cause of the problem. Cheers, Andy

Increase watchdog time. Unless it's already very long... Do you use motion commands in the task ? Are all of them with linking (nextCommand) IMMEDIATELY ?
