Can I use the other port, that is , DP port for programming in pc using mpi/dp rs232 pc adapter. Dear ZUMA, When you have PC-adapter RS232, you can communicate on MPI or Profibus. In PG/PC interface you can select MPI or Profibus. Or you can choose Auto, so it will detect which network it is connected to. When you are connected to the DP-port, you can program the CPU. Try it, when you got some problems, please inform us about the properties PC adapter. Best regards, Wizard

Can I use the other port, that is , DP port for programming in pc using mpi/dp rs232 pc adapter. Hello ZUMA, You can use USB PC adapter 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0. Connect it to the DP port and open Setting PG/PC interface in your PC and sellect PC adapter (profibus) or PC adapter (Auto.) It will work. Also if you have an external USBPromer 6ES7792-0AA00-0XA0, you can use it to downloading the the memory card directlly. Hope this helps.

Hi ZUMA, Have you Checked the Communication with PC Adaptor Auto in Set PG/PC interface? in that it will detect the Baudrate & you have to set in the Setting.

In your case this is the same like RS232/MPI. Important is to be installed there drivers for USB/MPI adapter. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Since I cannot use MPI port for downloading, we download/ copy it in the memory card through PG , and yes it works.
