sukrija Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	I am using dat monitor(datview), and when i try to read out tags in table i get following message, where i am doing wrong? Error is: A Runtime error is occurred. Do you wish to debug? Line: 1459 Error: Safety settings on this computer prohibit accessing a data source on another domain. Attachment DatMonitor.JPG (527 Downloads)

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	You don't say what version of WinCC, DataMonitor, Windows and IEyou have. However it looks like a security setting issue. Can you please do the following : · Ensure the DataMonitor client is installed on the DataMonitor server computer This is to eliminate any networking issues during the test · Open Internet Explorer ( IE ) · Go to Tools -> Internet Options · On the Security tab select Trusted Sites and click on the Sites button and the DataMonitor server to the list · On the Security tab select Trusted Sites and click Custom Level button to change the security level. Set all the radio buttons to Enable (NOT Prompt or Disable) for the ActiveX Controls & Plug-ins section · Close IE, reopen and test Security settings are detailed in the manual if you have not seen them already. Changing all settings to Enable is overkill but always good for testing. If it works you can then change some back to Prompt as per the manual.

sukrija Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	it is strange i can see alarms, but when i came to tags i get that error. I did put all security settings on enable, but this did not solve my problem.

So ... 1) At what point do you get the error ? Is it when selecting the datetime? when pressing Display Options? etc. 2) Does DataWorkbook work OK with Tag Logging data (assuming you have Excel of course) ? 3) What logging rates are you using for your Tag Logging tags ? 1sec, 1min, 10min, etc.

Is it when selecting the datetime? when pressing Display Options? etc. when pressing Display Options. 2) Does DataWorkbook work OK with Tag Logging data (assuming you have Excel of course) ? when i publish workbook and open on client i get no data, just comments. 3) What logging rates are you using for your Tag Logging tags ? 1sec, 1min, 10min, etc. rates are 20sec and 1 min Thanks for help

Does this make any difference? 2) Have you tried connecting from another computer ? I think the problem is either with the IIS settings or IE settings. Another computer (preferably running another operating system) would help rule out IE settings. 3) What happens if you use the"Tag data on a trend"link(instead of "on a table") ?

I done this but same happens 2) Have you tried connecting from another computer ? I think the problem is either with the IIS settings or IE settings. Another computer (preferably running another operating system) would help rule out IE settings. when i try to connect from other computer, browser stucks on that computer, but i think thats problem with webclient 3) What happens if you use the"Tag data on a trend"link(instead of "on a table") ? Same thing happens like with "Tag data on a table".
