data exchange between PLC to ABB DCS

ALGUDKAR RAO Posts: 621 Rating: (10)	algudkar dear experts and friends. now im commissioning the plc program the uploaded program Hardware configuration snaps attached here. the plc dignostic is ok without any fault.but im facing theproblem since last one week cp 342-5 getting bus fault led.is there any solution plese suggest me actually the customer requirement is already existing in the program they watnt to configure the data exchange between PLC to DCS (ABB). in one data block there is 16 byte but they now need to exchange the data 16 byte to 32byte.can any one help me thanks in advance regards algudkar Dear all Tahnk you very much for the supporting the help. finaly i was get the result mean remove the bus fault now its working fine. now iamcommissioning the other panel same thing same problem.but here is a ABB DCS with Data exchange.but ABBDCS im not worked.in there Created AI 16 word and AO 32 word like wise the customer is asking to exchange the data between these to our plc SEND andRECEIVE. 1 fileattached here please check and suugeest or guideme. The main thing is that in ABB side they configured 16 word and 2 word.In my PLC software i configureDB101 and DB102.FC101 and FC 102. In FC 101 the pointer address P#DB101 DBx0.0 byte 32.out 2 is 1.while in FC102 the pointer address P#DB101 DBx0.0 4 byte out 2 is get 1. and its working fine the ABB DCS they made as word 32 more and I change in plc software FC101 pointer adress 32byte. while in FC102 i chnged 4byte to 16 byte 32 byte likewise. the out2 both function get 1to 0 friction of seconds happening and CP goes to bus fault mode.and i made db102 32 byte. so please give me the suggestion to rectfy the problem thanking you in advance algudkar Splitted from CP 342-5 bus fault system faulty. It is a Hex notation of the Address of CP342-5 in hardware configuration. (Decimal it would be 320, the start address of reserved Input and output addresses) Be sure your DB have enough bytes (words) The master wants to exchange data with slave (CP342-5) Check the input for master is output for slave (DP_send)and the output for master is input for slave (DP_Recv) Best regards, Wizard

(If I remember well 16 byte in and 16 byte out) They will be used to communicate betweeen CPU and CP342-5. To communicate with Profibus slaves (Or when you are a slave, with Profibus Master), you will need in software FC1 and FC2 (DP_Send and DP_Recv). Here you will have to address the first addres of CP342-5 (So CPU knows where he could find the desired CP342-5) And you program an ANY pointer to exchange data with Profibus. (Here mostly use a Datablock, The datablock must have enough bytes, words to communicate) (It can be more than the 16 bytes in hardware configuration ) The ANY pointer will indicate how much data is exchanged.
