Data exchange S7<->d435 via DP - how to Configure Hardwareconfiguration

Pier7o Advanced Member Joined: 12/20/2008 Last visit: 4/10/2025 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Dear ChristophD i have a problem configuring data exchange between CPU 412 as DP master and D435 as slave. i need to exchange 17telegrams in sending and 17telegrams receiving. The problem is that it seems the configuration do not accept more that 32 lines. I need to insert 34 lines this time and maybe more for the future (depending by motor number) have you got any suggestion? best regards

The Slot Limit or Master/Slave communication ist theoretical 48 slots because the maximum datalength for the config telegram is 240 byte and each slot has a cfg size of 5 byte. The real number of configurable slots is limited to 32 . Another restiction is the data length for the telegrams. The sum of the data lenghts for all slots is 240 byte! In your case is better to use PROFINET instead PROFIBUS. With PROFINET you can configure more slots and more data. Regards Christoph
