Amol Jadhav Posts: 52 Rating: (1)	Hello I want to map Step7 tag With ABB PLC tag ,For that i used Anybus . i used 315-2pn/dp on Profinet & Profibus for ABB plc. i Dont know which block i used from siemens library For mapping & How to map step7 tag in anybus configuration tool. Is anybody know how to map, then please help me.

Susheel Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Yes just add Input addresses in siemens PLC of anybus hardware which will be outputs on ABB PLC's anybus hardare & vice versa. Just keep the sequence same as well as data type. LIke INSiemens 1 word input 1 word input 1 word output 1 word output IN ABB 1 word output 1 word output 1 word input 1 word input I hope this will work for you Also it is possible to interact between ABB PLC & Siemens PLC directly by Importing GSD file of ABB PLC into Siemens SystemOR GSD file of Siemens PLC into ABB System. Thanks Hello susheel; The import of a gsd file is only required on the master side of a master-slave configuration. So to work in this fashion, you must decide which one of the 2 CPUs will act as a Profibus-DPmaster (for example, say the ABB CPU acts as master)and import the gsd file of theslave (in this case the Siemens CPU)into the Profibus Configurator.of the ABB master and configure the data exchanges. Then configure the Siemens CPU as a Profibus-DP slave, in this situation, and configure the same data ecxchanges there that have been defined on the master side but reversed (inputs become outputs...). I have always found their documentation quite informative: http://www.hms.se/upload/260-4288-Application%20Note%20PROFIBUS_NetTool_1.20.pdf This application note shows how to configure a Siemens ET 200S as a slave to the Anybus communicator, follow the step-by-step project to setup the Profibus side of the gateway. For the other network, you will need to open the Anybus manual for that bus. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Profinet IO Device - Profibus Slave

The Anybus X-gateway copies I/O-data in both directions thus enabling data exchange between the two networks. Default I/O configuration is 20 bytes Input and 20 bytes Output. Changing default settings is very simple and is carried out using the RS232 configuration port and a standard terminal interface on a PC, such as Hyper Terminal for Windows.

The Anybus OPC Server is supported and included with this X-gateway. It enables fast and dynamic transfer of fieldbus data to and from e.g. SCADA/HMI/Enterprice level systems based on Microsoft Windows.

The Profibus DP/DPV1 slave interface is implemented according to the standard IEC61158 as a modular slave, supporting all standard functionality such as Watchdog, Sync and Freeze and diagnostics. Standard DP as well as DPV1 acyclic data services (Class1/Class2) are supported. The Profibus interface module is certified by the Profibus user organization and has proven conformance and interoperability with leading PLC´s, HMI´s etc. Profibus address is set via rotary switches 0-99.

The Profinet IO interface is a complete solution for a Profinet IO slave Device. The module is based on the Siemens Profinet IO software technology.
The Profinet IO baudrate is 100Mbit/s (full duplex). The IP-address and additional IP-settings is easily configured with the Anybus IPconfig utility for Windows. Additional ways to set the IP-address are either via DHCP or Profinet configuration tool. Four diagnostic LEDs will continuously indicate the actual Profinet IO status and possible error messages. The Profinet IO interface uses a normal RJ45 connector for the bus connection.
IT-functions like WEB-server, E-mail client, FTP-server are also supported. The IT functions can be used simultaneously with the Profinet IO communication.
Modbus/TCP is also supported with "Read Data" functions.
