Data Transfer through Modbus using PCS7 Software

I amfresher with the PCS7 system.I have to receive some data (i.e. Analogue & Digital both) from Alstom make energy meter using Modbus communication.Can anybody guide me,How i will procid and what type of standard block i will use for this in PCS7 software????

Different possibleconfigurations are discussed in the following FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18248289 For non-redundant systems, Modbus Master/Slave SND341 FB120 and RCV341 FB121 CFC blocks are described in PCS 7 v. 7.0 library. For redundant systems, the FAQ suggests a driver from Siemens IT. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
