I am working on a testing machine that requires logging and display of three PLC(S7-1500) tags on HMI (comfort panel) during the test period of about 30seconds. Ideally refresh rate of graph should be 100ms or below, but WinCC is not giving option of acquisition cycle of tags below 1second. This is a huge turnoff.

Anyways I figured I will log in PLC and then display on HMI. This scheme would work only if I am able to upload Datalogs from PLC to HMI (SD card) via some function or script and save the logs on HMI memory instead of PLC memory, reason being so that user can browse and view logs of past tests conducted.

I do not have a PC attached to PLC so cant use windows functions. Can anyone guide on how to achieve desired functionality via just a comfort panel and PLC?

Hi,

You can activate PLC web server and access files there from Comfort Panel through Internet explorer. SystemFunction OpenInternetExplorer. You can browse files on PLC or use direct url to download some file.

Also you can write user defined web page and display file content on HTMLBrowser. You cannot download with HTMLbrowser, but you can write web page to display it the way you want, with little bit of JavaScript, trends are not supported though.

If there is a better way i would also like to hear it.
