Just go to historical data section, configure data log (circular, segmented circular and so on), configure when you want to start it. Then add tags you want to log. I think it would be just good idea to read V11 help system on data logging. It will give you more details about logging. You can see example configuration in the attached screen. Rajesh Hebbar Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	The Problem with the system log is that the data are logged in single column one below other. We would like the data to be logged in different columns in the data base so that we can quiry based on the column number. Can you also help in hinting some way of using variable text in Symbolic I/O, we are attempting a query based Batch Report generation from the logged data. The Batch names are created in the Run time and we need to find a way of passing the name of the one of the completed batches to our VB script to fetch the relevent data from the database.

My minimum trigger duration in the scheduled task is 1 second. Tweety

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 4/4/2025 Posts: 4406 Rating: (1480)	Hi, you can run scripts faster with the follow tip: Create a PLC Tag (e.g. bool) and change his value at the desired time base value (e.g. each 1s invert the tag 0->1 / 1->0). Read the tag on WinCC. In event, change change value, call your script. Note: be carrefull. Normally the scripts are call with time >1min to not affect the global performance of the sistem.
