Hello,

I have quite few questions concerning time synchronization and daylight saving between S7-1500 and Simatic Comfort Panel:

In my case it is S7-1512F and TP900 Comfort.

I can see two ways of synchronization of time. Using HMI Connection and setting slave in "HMI time synchronization mode" and using area pointer. What are the differences, advantages and disadvantages of each?

How often does synchronization occur and how does it handle daylight saving? Yet I have tried to set various times right before change, and panel had never changed time correctly. Actually It never changed time and went out of sync with PLC (by precise one hour)

If there is no possibility to make daylight saving change via synchronization with PLC (which changes automatically without any problems with easy and self explaining options in TIA) How do I make panel change automatically itself, so nobody have to change it manually?

you have to activate daylight saving for PLC (hardware configuration) and HMI (control system of the panel).

I have tried that setting on the panel. Only setting I can find just changes actual time one hour forward and that is all. And it even does that when date is outside daylight saving. It is like manual option same as rolling clock one hour forward/backward.

PLC makes changes no problem, so issue is in the panel or synchronization. But even when synchronization occurs clock is set one hour forward/backward according to this check box in panel settings.
