DCC charts - want to read a parameter from servo unit

Hello ,

I am using DCC charts and I want to read a parameter from servo unit ( it is the speed in rpm ) in order to use it for my further calculations.I can create new parameters successfully and they are displayed on the expert list.The problem is that when I go into the test mode, the read value is not correct.

For example instead of reading a speed = 40 rpm ,the shown value is 0.002 .Is there any particular block used to read parameters ?

the reason is that the speed is normalized by the nominal speed (p2000) when reading it in DCC, so what you get is a percentage value. What you need to do in DCC is the following:

Read in r2700 (nominal speed parameter) to DCC and multiply this value to the percentage value to have it in rpm.

If you want to connect your output to a speed setpoint source it would be correct to have it in percentage values. Only for monitoring you can use rpm values.

Note: That's also the case for all other values like current, voltage, torque,... They all have a nominal value (p200x).
