DCOM: workgroup to domain

icarus Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm setting up a SIMATIC NET OPC server over IE. It is a server client setup witch, in this case, means that the opc server is located in a workgroup and the opc client applcation is located in a domain. Now I've tried just about everything to get from the domain pc (client) to the workgroup pc (OPC server). When I logon the client pc with a local user account, everyting works fine. But the idea is to connect to the server via a domain user account... Is there a way to work around this?? Thank you Best regards.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear icarus, I guess the main problem is based upon the DCOM Configuration, isn't it? So why don't you use OPC UA? Check this: OPC Unified Architecture As far as I know is the OPC Server delivered with the latest Edition 2008 capable of providing OPC UA. Best regards J_Bell

Do there have to be any .NET Wrapper, DLL changes, How Is OPC UA implemented Regards, Max.
