delete old file and create new datalog file

PVE Regular Member Joined: 1/8/2012 Last visit: 10/22/2024 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I am already using data logging function well w/o problems, but I would like to ask if there is some possibility to delete old file and create new datalog file. I normally delete datalog file from card via explorer and after activate creating new one via KTP button, but I would like to know if there is some other way to delete or replace datalog file on the card w/o removing form PLC and than make standard creating. Thanks a lot for help

Thanks a lot for help Hello PVE, You can delete the logged csv file, wihout removing the SIMATIC Memory Card. You can do this by using the web server. Just now I am staying before next step with S7-1200 and it is remote downlad and clear datalog file w/o any assistace. I mean automatic downloading and clearing of this file for example each sunday and storing tjis files on internal or network HDD. Is it there any application which can help me with this. Hello PVE, You can make use of for example Orbit Downloader / Internet Download Manager and configure the time interval and download location. The CSV file have a fixed address for example - https://192.168.0.1/DataLog.html?FileName=Datalog.csv PVE I mean automatic clearing of this file for example each sunday and storing tjis files on internal or network HDD. Is it there any application which can help me with this. Thank you for your help. Hello PVE, Have a look at this In STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V11, how can you schedule a program event for an S7-1200? This can help you in scheduling.
