Dear All, I would like to find out what a description is for the Calibration Factor and the Correction Factor? Is this something you can share? Thanks in advance, Erik ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Both the Calibration Factor and the Correction Factor values are accessed under the Mag 5000/6000 Sensor Characteristics group. Note in the screen shot from the manual below that the Calibration Factor is a read-only value. One can view the value, but there is no keystrokes that can change the value. https://i.postimg.cc/HL4s0pxj/Calibration-Factor-is-read-only-under-Sensor-Characteristics.jpg That is because the Calibration Factor is a value read from the Sensor Prom that was written to the Sensor Prom at the factory when the flow tube was originally calibrated. The Correction Factor is a read-write value, within a specified range. https://i.postimg.cc/TYgw2q6r/Factory-default-for-calibration-factor-is-1-specified-adjustment-range.jpg The Correct Factor default value is 1.00 which means that the Correction Factor is a multiplying factor, or a scale multiplier, not an offset (an offset would be an adder value across the range (zero to span) of the sensor, not a multiplier value). |
