When WinCC is in RT, there is an icon created on tool bar near time. Clicking on the same you can get entire details of all simatic machines installed on that machine.
if Its connected online and in RT then Green Indication or for error RED indication.
So, if you feel you can use the same.

Just to correct you...what I am saying is correct.
note, CAS cant be used with single station system. you have to have "multi user" as type in WinCC.
which then becomes similar to Server machine of Client Server architecture without client.
hence, what I am saying also works.

over and above path said by you is in WinCC explorer.Which is easily known to everyone.
and we all know what a new user can do with system if we give the explorer in hands of new user.
So its not advisable to use the WinCC explorer way
