Device type showing wrong in STEP 7

Manish_Soni Posts: 41 Rating: (0)	Hi , I am having two devices IE 2000 and IE3000. If I am installing the GSD file for IE2000 in STEP 7 and go PLC -->edit ethernet node---and browsing the devices I am seeing Mac address of connected device and the devcie type for my box as IE2000, which is fine. Now I am going ahaed and installed The second GSD file which is for IE3000. After that going to PLC -->edit ethernet node---and browsing the devices and observe my bothe devices are showing device type as IE3000 except controller. Any idea where something wrong happening. Is there anything to do with My devices GSD or STEP7. Thanks, Manish.

Also When i went to GSD folder under c: Program files/siemens/step7/s7data and deleted the IE 3k GSd file, Things are fine. The IE2k is displayed as IE2000. The moment I am installing IE3K, All are getting chaged to IE3000, except S7-300 PLC. Thanks, Manish Attachment device.zip (224 Downloads)
