ok do you have a exact question for this?
With the device update tool you can generate a USB Update stick to Update a Simotion Device with new FW and project data.

You can also create a zip which can be downloaded with the Simotion Webserver tu update the simotion without Scout or Scout tia.

yes this is possible.

During the Update a Backup of the old Data is created and can restored if Update failed.
