Diagnostic Profibus-DP

NSergey Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Good afternoon! My name is Nikitin Sergey. I had a problem with diagnostics of network Profibus-DP. A configuration of PLC station: In one Rack CPU315-2DP and CP342-5 and other. Everyone is the master of network Profibus. On CPU315-2DP with diagnostics there are no problems. (the diagnostic address is shown) On CP342-5 - a problem. On slaves it is not shown " Diagnostic addess ". How will address to certain slave? In network CP342-5 (master), ET200M, Simoreg(slave). Thank you.

The "page" where the hardwareconfiguration is shown online. DP-Slaves "behind" the CP 342-5 are never shown on this view. Sorry. If you want informations about the DP-Slaves of the CP342-5 as DP-Master the best way is the diagnostic of the CP. There is a special diagnostic tool which is integrated in STEP 7. Do you know? Please have a look to this document: S7-CPs for PROFIBUS Configuring and Commissioning chapter 9 descripes the dignostic tool. If you want to get diagnostic data of the DP-Slave behind the CP in your program you have to program the FC DP_DIAG. For data transfer between the CPU and the DP-Slaves behind the CP you have to program the FCs DP_SEND and DP_RECV. Do you know? There is an FAQ which descripes the differences between the integrated DP interface on the CPUs and the CP. Do you know this document? What are the differences between an integrated DP interface of my CPU (e.g. CPU 315-2 DP) and the DP interface of the CP 342-5? Best regards Sabine
