Hello Skorpionzinc Date and time are set together on the Diagnostic repeater (and revert back to midnight 1st January 1994 after every power off) , so you'll either get both set or none at all. In order to do so you need to use DP-V1 related acyclic communication functions and write Data record 60 to the Diagnostic repeater. While this sounds scary, it is no big deal if for example an S7 PLC is used and the SIMATIC Diagnostic Repeater for PROFIBUS-DP manual has all the details on how to do so in chapter 2.5. I fear though that your TI PLC DP master is either not DP-V1 capable and/or the CPU does NOT have the appropriate functions in it that allow usage of this (sorry, perhaps billwest can confirm this as TI is not my strongest side). One alternative I could offer though is to replace the good old Diagnostic repeater with aCOMbricks based repeater. This- in my humble oponion - will give you far superior network Diagnostic as well as removing the problem with the date and time (I do work for a PROCENTEC Gold Distributor just to get the Disclaimer out of the way with this advice). I hope this helps |
