Diagnostics of System Fault in software

segan Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	What is the procedure to see which error hasoccurredand what is the reason for SF RED LED glowing in my 319-3PN/DP PLC? When i download a new FBs i come across this problem. If i have a reason for the error it will be easier for me to correct those. When the SF Red LED glows it brings the PLC into stop mode automatically.

Hello Senbaga Ganesh the info you are looking for can be found in the "Diagnostic Buffer" and you can find the Diagnostic Bufferin Simatic Manager from the PLC menu-->Diagnostic/Setting-->Module Information. Your "SF" (System Fault) LED will be glowing if any fault exists in your PLC (which could be user program related like for example downloading a new FB and calling it but notdownloading its Instance DB or hardware related like for example a faulty I/O station). Either way, the Diagnostic Buffer will (should) help you in finding out the cause. I hope this helps
