Dial-up in WinCC

vauto Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I'm using WinCC 6.0. I have problemabout myproject, I need supervise data in 2 stations. Stations are connected by phone-line (not internet). Can WinCC read data through phone-line? using dial-up protocol? Can you help me. Thanks.

I believe that you should only use a Client With Project with a dial-up connection. You can find more information about the two types of clients in the WinCC manual. However ... have you considered using a web client ? WinCC offers two options for web clients : 1) WebNavigator - a full control WinCC client that runs within Internet Explorer 2) DataMonitor - a read-only (view) WinCC client that runs within Internet Explorer These clients require a lot less bandwidth compared to a standard client and are ideal for dial-up connections.
