Difference b/w NC archive backup and NC upgrade backup

Suppose NC data is lost whether it is recommended to load NC archive backup/ NC Upgrade backup.. What NC information comes when NC upgrade back is taken? Little Confusing......Could any one suggest me.... bye/Ekalavya

Maddy. Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	Hi , Nc upgrade archive is required in case of upgrading. The backup is in simple text format and can be loaded to a different version . In case if the data is lost , then better to load normal NC archive .

Drive data (BOT files): There is an internal converter for BOT files, which ensures that drive data backups can be read into various software versions. Probably it will help you. Best regards. Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	@ Pfuser : I do not completely agree with the statement “NC-upgrade does not contain the drive data “ NC upgrade archive has Drive data in text format.. you can actually open an NC upgrade archive and read the Drive data . . Where as NC archive has Drive data in form of Boot files.
