Dear all, What are the different types of cable configuration/pin configuration responsible for communications? |

Hello epro. The question is interesting, but the wordingis not precise enough for a good answer. Communication cables are required to link twoor more communication partners together, generally using a comm processor on the PLC side. You have to tell us what protocol (serial, Ethernet, Profibus, As-i...) you plan to use, the partners involved, the comm signals to be used and the physical layout of the interface of each partner. Just as an example, attached you fill findthe pages from the CP 340 comm processor (used for serial communications on the S7-300 PLC) that shows the different ways it can be connected to different comm. partners. You can judge by the number of different connections on a single comm processor the variety of cables and ointerfaces required for all...
