Dear Sir,

I am a field of electricl side hence i dont know abt communication.But i will just here the word for communication in industreies like MODBUS,PROFIBUS,RS485,ETHERNET....etc,So i want to know that what is the differnce between them?Also provide the list of different communication which are used in industries.

It would be a long story, but my brief explanation:

1. For MPI , you have option of using GD tables and S7 connection.The speed is a bit slow and it is suitable to exchange small amount of data.
   
   
2. For PROFIBUS via integral DP port, yo can use MASTER/SLAVE communication.For using CPs like CP342-5() , you have option of using same MASTER/SLAVE communication and S7 communication .Faster and suitable for a higher range of data.
   
   
   
3. MODBUS,mainly CP341(340)/CP441.It is a widely acceptable protocol amond the manufacturers of automation systems.It is really handy to connect a SIEMENS PLC with other systems such as DCS or small electrical relays.
   
   
4. Industrail Ethernet, with higher speed is also possible for to be used to exchange data among CPUs.Normally it is possible via CP343(CP443).

Profibus has certain protocol features that let certain versions of it operate in multi-master mode on RS-485, while Modbus could be only single master. However, Modbus can operate on Ethernet (including multiple masters) while Profibus can't (Profinet can, but Profinet is not the same as Profibus).

In short, Profibus was good in its day, but its specialised features tied it closely to RS-485, which has resulted in it becoming obsolete (although there's lots of it still around).

Modbus is still going strong because its simplicity let it evolve to adapt to Ethernet without significant change. It's now one of the major Ethernet protocols used in automation. The older serial (RS-232 and RS-485) versions are still around as well.

I doubt you will ever find a document with a statement such as yours.

Not in a technical setting anyway. Maybe in some shoddy marketing paper...

The choice of particular communication protocols starts with the available sensor/actuators or instruments for your project.  Since you mention HART and FF, let's look at instrumentation protocols. If you choose a provider such as E&H, you will mostly have Profibus-PA or 4-20 mA connections. Similar models from Emerson will most likely come with HART or FF interfaces.

Your selection at the beginning of the procurement process already directs your communication choices at the controller level.

It is never a question of "older" or "unsupported". Siemens S7 PLCs will easily support Profibus-PA for example, but also offer HART and FF communication modules in case some equipment requires it. 

What exactly are you looking for, and why do you need it?

Hi all friends

Comparing FF and HART : all documents in the internet prefers FF over HART and says that a new plant should have new technique such as FF or profinet 

So when I want to build a new power plant I should use a protocol of nowadays and future not old one

So I should search about a control system that supports that protocol

It does not mean that I want a PLC that supports FF only.Off course NO

I want a document that says that a PLC with old HART and new FF together is better for future usage than that supports HART only

Is it clear?

As stated before, Emerson proviides instruments that mainly work with FF and HART; they also make the DeltaV automation controller platform. So they may be the closest source of the information you are looking for (although not exactly...)

yes these documents mention that FF is better than HART

1-but I still search about documents preferring an (FF altogether with HART) PLC over HART PLC only to fulfill nowadays needs and be ready about future needs

2-And I decide to buy Siemens S7 414-5H redundant : what module can be installed to support Foundation Fieldbus?
