Alarm is the one for what you have to give iimediate attension and check for the remedy. (For Ex: High High level of a tank) Warning is the where you have to have a look into the system for the healthness (For Ex: High level of tank) Event is the one which gives the information about the actual status of the plant element ( For Ex: Motor Running, Valve closed)

(error or warning) A Warning is a message that will appear, when trigger bit is high. and will disappear when trigger bit is low. An Error is a message that will appear, when trigger bit is high. and will stay untill it is acknowledge by operator (or PLC). An Event is a message to tell you what happens and will disappear after a certain time (some seconds) (for instance there is a link between plc and hmi) Best regards, Wizard
