DIGSI 5 V07.80

Hello,

I use DIGSI 5 V07.80 version. When i click options=>settings i received an error message as "The application has encountered a problem and needs to close. Would you like to restart the application?"

I don't have an answer, but the same thing happens on my installation. Also running DIGSI V07.80. I tried installing the Hotfix 2 and that didn't change anything. I get the same error when I try to open 'Charts' under an open Project. I did have V07.50 and I didn't see these issues. I had to upgrade versions as some of our units have a later FW installed.

Hoping an answer surfaces soon.

Try this:

- Close DIGSI 5

- Navigate to the folder “C:\Program Files\Siemens Energy\DIGSI 5 V7.80\Bin” (If you have installed DIGSI on a other folder then you have adapt the path.)

- Open the file properties window of the file “Siemens.Simatic.FunctionCharts.TIAAdapter.dll”

- At the bottom of the properties window, there will be a button to unblock the dll. Click on the unblock button and click Apply and then OK

- Reopen DIGSI 5 and see if that fixes it

Since today i have the same problem. Digsi was not responding, so i closed it in the task manager. But after reopening the program i get the same warning. After restarting the same warning still appears.

Now i've founded the dll which you described, but i can't see if it's blocked or not. Did i do something wrong?
