Hi,

Is it possible to disable logging in WinCC RT Advanced ?

Since the licence for WinCC RT Adv. is sold separately I would like to disable this feature completely from my project. I have not added any logging feature in my project but there must be some logging feature in the system (alarms etc.).I want to stop the “WinCC logging for Runtime Advanced license not found” warning that keeps popping up.

All help is appreciated.

AFAIK there is no such a option to disable logging process. However, if there is no log defined it's very strange that it check for the logging license. 

Is the project created from scratch? Maybe if there were logs defined before, even if you have deleted them it still ask from license. 

In this case I would suggest:

1.Delete IM folder inside folder project following this FAQ as an inconsistent IM folder can have various unwanted effects on your project

2. Update ALM to last version available.

I tried both suggestions but was not succesful.

ALM was the latest version.

What features use logging ?  Alarm View ?

Are you sure there is no log configured in the project?

You can verify it in the 'Historical data > Data logs' section located in the project tree.

If there is no log defined there, you can try to recompile the project and download the RT again.

If the error continues to appear, could you please tell us the exact TIA version (Help > Installed Software... in the top menu) and the OS build ('winver' in the Windows start bar)?
