I am using TP1500 and TIA Portal v15 to develop the screens. It seems the platform is smart enough to close the popup screens automatically if the current screen changes. But within same screen, if I press anything (for example a button) outside of the pop up, the button press gets triggered. So I am wondering if there is a way to disable touch outside the popup screen?

I could manually make transparent object (say a button that has no event, or close all pop ups) visible on top of everything prior to opening the pop up screen but seems like too much work. I could also make the popups as big as the regular screens, but then what is the point of having a pop up.  Surely there is an easier way ?...

on Comfort Panels I also just know the solution you already mentioned -> by defining an object e.g. an rectangle, placing it over the hole screen

I list the steps here, just is case other members of the forum are interested in this solution:

• define an rectangle, place it over the hole screen
• make the rectangle transparent
• define a boolean tag
• create a visibility animation for the rectangle
• connect the tag to the animation (at a value of 1, it should be visible)
• set the tag to 1 in the "Loaded" event of the popup screen
• set the tag to 0 in the "Cleared" event of the popup screen

On WinCC Professional there is the VB function "SetOperationLock" wich one can use on a screen window to make it not responding to clicks, etc.
